Paintball marker not working?
If, for some reason, your marker is not operating correctly, don't panic! You will be taken care of. It is normally something simple that can be easily fixed.
If your Paintball gun is leaking.
-
Make sure you are using the proper tank. Some guns such as Bob Longs, Mac Devs and Machine Vapors require low pressure tanks and a high pressure tank will make them leak. A low pressure tank is considered anything below 500 psi.
-
Wipe down your gun's bolt assembly and liberally re-grease. We test all guns before we ship them to be free from leaks. Most leaks after shipping are due to guns sitting in cold warehouses during shipping. O-rings contract when cold and this can cause leaks. This is most common in spool valve guns like Luxes, Vanquish, and Vapors. If the air is venting through the grip frame near the solenoid this is most commonly the bolt seal o-ring.
-
If relubing the gun did not work then an o-ring would need to be replaced. If you are comfortable doing this then be sure to make sure the O-ring you're sticking on is the same as the one you removed. The o-ring may look fine but even the smallest puncture or blemish can cause a leak under pressure.
If your Paintball gun is not turning on or firing.
-
The number one thing to check is your battery. a low battery accounts for 95% of gun issues that are not leaks. Use a high quality battery. High quality 9V batteries come at 9.7 volts. When a battery drops under 9 volts some issue you may see are, low velocity, first shot drop off, not cycling, eye malfunctions and the gun not turning on. You want to make sure to replace the battery with a high quality Duracell or energizer battery.
-
Make sure your ASA is turned on if you have a gun with a on/off ASA. This should be a knob to twist or push where the tank screws in.
-
If your gun has eyes remember that guns with eyes will only fire when a ball is in the breech. Please be sure to all proper safety equipment when trying to fire a gun.
-
Make sure that your tank has air and is not empty. You'll want to have at least 200psi over your guns operating pressure.
It still doesn't work!
